Cristobal de L, Sebastian, Woods, Rafael, and I will create DuckThought -a website where universal themes (philosophy, politics, society, culture) will be treated and analyzed through the lens of a teenager- as our IA project in second semester. Although our parents haven’t approved it yet, we have already created a general schedule with dates and milestones that cover the following four months. I have no words to express how excited and passionate I am right now; my only concern is that once the semester ends so will the website (hopefully not). Nevertheless, I should be worrying about the present. I’ll deal with that at its time.
I see this website as an opportunity to manifest my ideas, concerns, and theories in a reflective, analytical, and formal manner. I believe that we will attract a brought audience, that our project will succeed, and thus our voice will be significantly powerful. And I say significantly because our voice will have an impact in people’s lives, or well, at least that’s what I think. We wont be, though, the typical arrogant journalists that pose as if they were a higher authority, or even a sarcastic divinity that is always right. We want to be spreaders of wisdom. Our group wants to make people understand that a free man is one that can understand freedom. I hope that readers find in our words, the courage to question their lives and the lives of others. Of course, anyone can digest the articles of DuckThought as they wish to. Some might be seeking for a break from their overwhelming agenda; while others might just want to kill some time engrossed in true, reflective literature. All in all, the perspective in which the issue of incidence will be questioned depends on the writer; though it must not cause any polemic.
See, since we have no lucrative purposes, the temptress rain of creating controversy wont pass through our umbrella. DuckThought will give its audience a powerful and sincere radiography of the world’s most intriguing subjects.
