In chapter 3 of From Good to Great, the idea of: “First who and then what” is explained by using real life examples on contemporary businesses. After reading this chapter –which is, with no doubt, full of wisdom- I understand that right people are our
most essential asset , and we need to do our best to retain them. I figure that this concept is not only valid for companies, yet also for our daily lives, for our friends. I like the people that shake with good vibes; that need no push, nor someone to tell them what to do. They know what to do, and they do it. I like the people that cultivate their dreams, until those dreams take over their own reality. And that there limitless energy glows the heart of others. These are my friends, and I do my best to retain them. Likewise, great companies have the same kind of people; without a positive and welcoming ambient, work is not efficient! Indeed, we must recognize and acknowledge the importance of the people around us, however, we should then utilize them for our own benefit (economically if talking about companies, and internally when referring to friends).
